Your Dues at Work: Supporting Our Community On and Off the Lake
Annual membership dues fund vital initiatives that keep Oxbow Lake safe, beautiful, and connected. Here is a look at what your support covers:
-
Safety & Environmental Care: We prioritize boating safety by placing and maintaining the buoys off the point (see the map in the Boating tab). We also conduct periodic water quality testing and monitoring to protect our lake.
-
Community Connection: The OLHA serves as your liaison to the neighborhood and township. Members receive timely updates via email and Facebook regarding public service announcements, police incidents, sewer updates, road improvements, and safety concerns.
-
Digital Infrastructure: Your dues fund the operational costs of the Oxbow Lake website and our OLHA Zoom meetings, keeping us connected year-round.
-
Community Events & Fun: We love to bring neighbors together! Dues sponsor our favorite annual events, including the Summer Kick-Off Party, July 4th Boat Parade, Children’s Fishing Tournament, Summer Send-Off Party, and the Winter Holiday Party.
Let’s get out there, stay safe, have fun, and continue building a community we can all be proud of!
