The annual dues support several areas on and off the lake. Here are just a few examples….

Most importantly, the OLHA promotes boating safety. One minor part of that is the placement and maintenance of buoys of the point (See map in the Boating tab). Additionally, the OLHA conducts periodic water quality testing and monitoring and coordinates Walleye fishing stocking.

The OLHA also serves as a neighborhood and township communicator. When topics are received that affect Oxbow Lake and its residents, information is forwarded to OLHA members, typically either by email and/or Facebook. Examples include a variety of public service announcements such as reports of police incidents, sewer updates, area road improvements, safety concerns, and more.

The OLHA ZOOM meetings and the Oxbow Lake website require an annual cost, all covered by membership dues.

Let’s not forget the fun!  The OLHA organizes the annual social events including the summer kick-off party, July 4th boat parades, the children’s fishing tournament, the summer send-off party, and the winter holiday party.

Let’s get out there, be safe, have fun, and build a community we will be proud of and enjoy!
